For my Master’s thesis at PXL-MAD School of Arts, I collaborated with painter Carolina Augustyniak. I developed a digital layer for her paintings: an augmented reality diorama that allows viewers to peek inside the work and discover hidden figures behind windows and doors.

Alongside this, we experimented with early, imperfect AI image generators. Since the paintings evoked a sense of unease and discomfort, we embraced the distorted, liminal, and uncanny results to further intensify this feeling.

Our project was nominated for the Wanatoeprijs 2023.
